OH NO ON ICE

I'm sure you have all been enjoying the olympic excitement as much as I have. I have to say that my favorite event thus far has been the exciting men's speed skating- and in particular: Apolo Anton Ohno (or Ohyes as i like to call him). As i'm sure you are all aware, he is racing his final race tonight, so i have concocted some recipes in his honor. This will be a practice in sympathetic magic- if we all prepare these for the race perhaps we can help propel him to the finish line! the first recipe is, of course a COLD cocktail. here goes....

Oh No On Ice:

1 part Vodka (chilled-like apolo's steely nerves)
1 part apple juice (fresh- like apolo-ooo)
2 parts REEDS Ginger Brew (sharp like apolo's blades)
dash lemon juice (for added kick)

serve over ice, of course.

THE LAWN WAY

And now folks, spring has sprung, the daffodils are blooming, the Grass is Green and it's time again for....yes that's right...VODKA. What better way to usher in that fair and bursting season of spring that with glasses and glasses of Vodka. Vodka‹that clear refreshing drink that flows like the newly melted snow cascading down fresh green canyons. Yes folks...it's the spring thaw and here is the drink to wake you from winter slumbers and open your senses to the sweet sensations of spring!

INGREDIENTS:
vodka
midori
calistoga lemonade
wheat grass

This drink is to be made in a HighBall glass. In glass:
add 3 ice cubes
pour vodka 1/8-1/4 depending on your enthusiasm.
dash Midori- not too much because it's sweet.
fill the remainder of the glass with Calistoga sparkling lemonade.
Stir.

GARNISH

Buy the little basket of wheat grass from the grocery store. i understand that some of you may live in the stix and not have access to wheat grass, in that case i guess regular grass would be OK but don't eat it and rinse it real good.
Pull a couple grass blades out being careful to keep the seed and roots in tact. Rinse all dirt from roots and blades!!!

Arrange blades in drink as garnish, roots should dangle around ice cubes while the beautiful green blades peer from out the top of the glass in a very festive way. Add a colorful swizzle stick for extra special occasions.

Happy Thaw everybody!
